But his hands weren't leaving Kaspar's body, and the steward's body shuddered hungrily under the touch. The Rajah drifted lower, feeling the rapid pulse of his heartbeat, brushing under the inner edge of the open vest, gliding across a nipple that stiffened instantly at the contact.
"Still... he has brought me something new," he mused. "Something I've not yet tried. Are you slave or servant? Don't tell me you're a princess cursed into a man's shape. Lies are an affront to Allah."

Teeth scraped against Kaspar's lower lip, pulling him off-balance into the waiting circle of the Maharajah's strong arms, and he could feel the vest being pulled free, exposing his lithe young body.
The Rajah leaned back for a moment, taking in the sight with a critical eye, then nodded firmly and cupped one of Kaspar's pecs in his palm. "Yes," he decided. "Yes, I think this will be a gift worthy of me."

There was the potential for an original erotica here, the setting was quite interesting and rich in possibilities.Delivery is quite poor though.
Writing is ordinary and editing sloppy with many typos.
Sex scenes are wasted: quick and unimaginative, they make scant use of the -potentially- rich setting.

I like to be treated to an imaginative and well thought out storyline and this particular story really delivers on that score. Without giving too much away, the plot involves a device that enables the user to travel into people involved in historical scenarios selected automatically by the machine's own artificial intelligence based on their personality and desires. I think all of us would like to play with a machine like that. Obviously it's going to lead to a sex scene. Again I don't want to spoil the plot for you, but if you like great descriptions of hot guys getting it on together in exotic locations, this story will deliver for you. Not only is her grammar and spelling impeccable, but she knows how to make writing 'flow' and how to describe a scene without overwhelming with small details. By the way, the character naming problem mentioned by a previous reviewer had been fixed by the time I received my copy. I have never seen that, or any other problem in any of CM's other works. On the subject of reviewing, erotica is an incredibly subjective thing and too often I've seen reviews where the reviewer was basically downgrading the work because it wasn't their cup of tea - I have also seen the reverse happen with poor writing where the subject matter obviously really floated the reviewer's boat. However, even factoring that out as best I can, I honestly think this work deserves a five. Sophie.

I'm a fan of Knox's worldbuilding and characterization, not to mention her sex scenes. And though this story isn't quite as outstanding as some of her others -- it's a bit more perfunctory, which is partly due to the initial setup -- it's still excellent.
