Hated to have it end and had to leave my friends of those many pages.
This is an amazing book about the discovery of the Colorado River -- one that is totally unexpected. We know so little about the Southwest and especially the Colorado River that ran all the way to the Sea of Cortez. I highly recommend it
This is a remarkable book in its breadth and scope of extensively researched Western history. Personally I loved the writing style so much initially it drew me into the story even though I would not ordinarily have chosen this subject. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
I was recently given this book as a gift. I couldnt stop reading it. The pace and flow kept moving and the writer's style was so pleasing; I loved it. Even though I would not have chosen a book on the exploration of the West, it was totally engrossing and I loved what I learned as well as the human stories. And new words to boot.
